If you have a low - mass tonearm, simply remove the weight, and the cartridge's mass drops to just 2.5g. Technical specs: Output voltage at 1000 Hz, 5cm/sec is 4.0 mV. Channel balance at 1 kHz is 2 dB, and channel separation at 1 kHz is 22 dB. Frequency range at - 3dB is 20 - 25,000 Hz. Using the Ortofon OM5S cartridge is easy. First, check your tonearm. If it's a standard one, leave the weight - plate on the cartridge. For low - mass tonearms, remove the weight. Then, carefully mount the cartridge onto your tonearm's headshell or cartridge mount. Set the tracking force to the recommended 1.75 g (17.5 mN). When playing records, make sure your record player is on a stable surface. After each use, gently lift the tonearm and return it to its rest. To maintain your cartridge, keep it clean. Use a soft, dry brush to remove any dust from the stylus. Avoid touching the stylus with your fingers as the oils can damage it. If you notice a decline in sound quality, it might be time to replace the stylus with the Stylus 5S. Store the cartridge in a dry, cool place when not in use to prevent any damage.
