Using this charger is easy. First, make sure the battery you're charging is a sealed lead - acid (SLA) rechargeable battery. Check that its voltage and capacity are within the recommended limits (6 - volt up to 12AH and 12 - volt up to 4.5AH). Plug the charger into a 240Volt AC power source. Then, connect the charger to the battery using either the 2.1mm DC plug or the alligator - clamp adaptor. Once connected, the charger will start charging the battery. Remember, the charger has reverse polarity protection, short - circuit protection, and an over - current polyswitch, so it's safe to use. But don't use it as an AC/DC adaptor for operating equipment.
