Product Detail

The Universal No-Frost Refrigerator Defrost Timer (Part No. RF100ADT, ADT624) is a must - have for many no - frost fridges. It features switchable interval times ranging from 6 hours to 24 hours and defrost times from 15 minutes to 32 minutes. There are rear - mounted switches that let you select the defrost or run cycle for testing, a function usually done by turning a knob on a standard timer. With 4 X 6.4mm spade terminals, it's well - equipped for connection. This timer suits a wide variety of no - frost refrigerators, but note that it's not suitable for defrost circuits where the timer motor doesn't get power all the time. The wiring details are as follows: Pin 1 is the switch common and one side of the timer power (usually active), Pin 2 is the normally open switch contact for the defrost element circuit, Pin 3 is the other side of the timer power (usually neutral), and Pin 4 is the normally closed switch contact for the compressor circuit. We've been supplying appliance parts to trade and retail customers for over 25 years, so you can buy with confidence.

Using this fridge defrost timer is easy. First, make sure your fridge is unplugged. Then, connect the wires according to the wiring details: connect Pin 1 to the switch common and one side of the timer power, Pin 2 to the defrost element circuit, Pin 3 to the other side of the timer power, and Pin 4 to the compressor circuit. After wiring, plug your fridge back in. You can use the rear - mounted switches to select the defrost or run cycle for testing. When setting the interval and defrost times, you can choose according to your fridge's needs, with interval times from 6 to 24 hours and defrost times from 15 to 32 minutes. Note that this timer won't work if the timer motor in your fridge's defrost circuit doesn't receive power all the time. For maintenance, keep the timer clean and free from dust. If you notice any problems, don't try to fix it yourself. Instead, contact a professional technician.
