Product Detail

This is a Fisher & Paykel fridge door closing hook stop for the left-hand side. Part number is FP842242, also known as 842242. It replaces part numbers FP881454P, 881454P, FP881454, and 881454. This small plastic hook is designed to help the left-hand doors of some older two-door Fisher & Paykel fridges close properly. The part features 3 holes. It's suitable for a range of early models including E442BL, E440TL, E415HL, E413TL, E411TL, E406BL, N388L, E381TL, E372BL, E361TL, E331TL, F310L, and N308L. The photos show both the part you'll receive and the 881454P part it supersedes. We've been supplying appliance parts to the trade and retail for over 25 years, so you can buy with confidence.

Using this Fisher & Paykel door closing hook stop is easy. First, find the spot on the left - hand door of your fridge where the old hook was or where it's supposed to be installed. Then, align the 3 holes on the hook with the corresponding holes on the fridge. Use appropriate screws to secure it in place. When installing, make sure the hook is firmly attached to ensure it functions well. As for maintenance, periodically check the hook for any signs of wear or damage. If you notice any cracks or if it becomes loose, it's a good idea to replace it. Keep the hook clean by using a soft, damp cloth to wipe it down. Avoid using harsh chemicals as they might damage the plastic. This way, your fridge door will keep closing smoothly for a long time.
