This universal push-on solid state start relay is designed to fit most hermetic compressors with power ranging from 1/12HP to 1/2HP. It's the Supco Part number PO230. This nifty electronic start relay can easily replace the start relay on most refrigerator, freezer, and air conditioner compressors. You'll still need to use the original motor overload. Wiring diagrams for common compressors are included. It's suitable for 220 - 240VAC hermetic compressors from 1/12HP - 1/2HP or 60Watt to 375Watt. It stops the start winding from overheating. You can use it with or without a start capacitor. It has a standard push-on fitting for compressor terminals and comes with a 6.3mm spade terminal for mains input. There's a removable jumper across the 6.3mm spade terminals for connecting a start capacitor if needed. Installation takes just seconds.
